About

Fasttracker II Plugin is a modern plugin version of FastTracker II developed by Juho. It is based on the standalone FT2 clone created by 8bitbubsy and has been rewritten as a multi-instance plugin using the JUCE framework.

The plugin brings the classic FastTracker II tracker workflow into modern digital audio workstations. It can be used as a tracker instrument inside a DAW while retaining the familiar pattern-based sequencing and sample-based workflow of FT2.

• DAW synchronization including BPM, transport and position.
• Module state can be saved directly with the DAW project.

• Up to 32 tracker channels with 15 assignable stereo outputs in addition to the main mix.
• MIDI input and output support.
• MIDI aftertouch, pitch bend and modulation wheel recording.
• Sample slicing functionality for creating break samples.
• Drag-and-drop support for modules and samples.
• Enhanced instrument envelope editing.

XM2 / XI2

The plugin also includes an optional experimental XM2 mode. This extends the traditional XM format with features designed for modern production workflows.

• Curved logarithmic and exponential envelopes.
• Extended envelope length.
• Up to 96 samples per instrument.
• New resampler and bitcrusher effects.
