About Soundtracker Museum
What is this site about ?
Soundtracker Museum is an ongoing, independent project dedicated to preserving the history, culture, and technology of music trackers. From early soundtrackers to the demoscene classics, the goal is to document, archive, and celebrate the tools and creativity that shaped a generation of digital musicians.
This project is created and maintained by one person (me) β driven purely by passion for tracker music and its community. Every entry, screenshot, piece of documentation, and restoration effort is carefully researched and assembled by hand. Itβs a labor of love, built step by step.
Soundtracker Museum is an ongoing project and not finished at all. It grows continuously as new material is discovered, restored, and documented. If you are aware of some new trackers or you detect some mistakes, feel free to drop me an email to tell me. I would like this website the most accurate as possible.
Why am i doing this ?
The mission is simple: preserve the past, honor the creators, and make sure tracker history remains accessible for future generations.
Managing "Soundtracker Museum" is therefore a part-time commitment carried out alongside other professional or personal activities. So don't be surprised of some parts or sofwares are missing. It evolves slowly but continuously π.
On a more "personal" point of view i discovered tracking music when i was 19 on Atari ST which have definitly been a passion for me since then.
Who am i?
I'm Reynald (alias Moonove or Djamm (Good old atari days)). I was an active Atari/Amiga/PC demoscener from 1985 until ~2000 in several demoscene groups. You may find more info about me on Demozoo or my personal website
