About

midiom is a MIDI sequencer compatible with Windows and macOS. It offers multiple editing methods—including a piano roll, a rhythm editor, and numerical input—allowing for data entry and editing via mouse or keyboard. This comprehensive MIDI sequencer combines DAW-grade piano roll editing, dedicated drum rhythm editing, and advanced numerical input.

Most operations can be performed using only the keyboard, without a mouse. Additionally, midiom v2 can run as a VST plugin within your DAW. It plays sequences synchronized to the host system's clock, seamlessly integrating midiom into your workflow. Its use as a plugin ensures smooth DAW integration, supporting both MIDI playback and recording.

All sequences are saved within your DAW project, allowing you to quickly resume your work. *The trial version does not include recording or export functions; all other features are identical to the full version. In the 1990s and 2000s, numerical-input sequencers were widely used in DTM (Desktop Music) environments. As production shifted from DTM setups to Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), numerical-input MIDI sequencers gradually fell out of favor. midiom was created with the aim of offering a more user-friendly and stable numerical-input sequencer.

Twenty years later, midiom v2 has evolved to ensure compatibility with modern DAW environments.
