Megatizer

About

Megatizer is a well-known Atari ST/STE chiptune tracker developed by Jerome Girard (Sector One). It is designed to create music using the Atari ST's built-in Yamaha YM2149 sound chip, much like trackers on other 8-bit and 16-bit platforms.

This is a quite rare version of Megatizer; a preview of the never finished v3.0. However it features SID voice support, as heard in Virtual Escape demo (the main VE song is included as example).

Megatizer is one of the most advanced YM2149 trackers on the Atari ST. It allows musicians to:

• Compose pattern-based music. Use software instruments and effects tailored to the YM chip.
• Create music suitable for demos, games, and standalone chiptunes.
• Exploit the characteristic three-channel PSG sound of the Atari ST.
