STarKos is a conventional Soundchip tracker, in that music writing is similar to existing Soundtrackers on the CPC or other machines. The main new features are in the sound editor.

A few features to start with:

Handles 256 positions.
Each position is composed of 3 tracks, one per voice.
Handles 512 tracks, each of which can be reused multiple times in different positions OR even in the same position. Saves memory!
A track has a pitch from 0 to 127.
Each track can be transposed independently.
The entire piece of music can be transposed.
Each position has its own pitch from 0 to 127, independent of the track pitches.
Handles 255 different instruments.
Each PSG register can be modified when creating instruments.
Each instrument/track is compressed into memory, which is reorganized after each modification, so you should have plenty of memory available!
Replay frequency: 13, 25, 50, 100, 150, or 300 Hz. Digidrum support is included: you can enter notes marked 'SPL' with a sample number that can be retrieved during playback (using an external player). However, it is not currently possible to load or listen to samples within the editor.
