PSG Tracker
About
PSG Tracker is one of the classic native music trackers for the MSX platform, specifically designed to compose music for the machine's built-in PSG (Programmable Sound Generator) sound chip, the General Instrument AY-3-8910 compatible chip used in most MSX computers.
PSG Tracker was intentionally simple but powerful enough for serious PSG composition. It offered:
- Pattern-based tracker interface
- Pitch bending
- Detuning
- Waveform effects
- Variable track lengths
- Conversion of FAC Soundtracker .MUS files into PSG songs
