Wham! The Music Box is a music composition program developed for the ZX Spectrum, released in 1985 by Melbourne House. It allows users to compose music using two sound channels, a significant enhancement from the Spectrum's original single channel. This software is designed for users without prior music or programming knowledge, making it accessible for beginners.

The program includes a demonstration feature where users can load pre-existing tunes into the Music Editor. Six tunes are available by default, and users can select and listen to these compositions. The interface provides an intuitive experience, allowing users to stop and edit tunes at any point.

Users can create their first composition by entering Edit Mode. The Music Editor enables users to select octaves, change channels, and input notes to form melodies. The editor supports basic musical notation, focusing on simplicity with all compositions in the key of C major and using quavers as the note length.

Additional features include drum effects and noise design, which can be customized and inserted into compositions. The program also offers a compiler to create machine code routines, allowing users to integrate their music into other programs. This makes Wham! The Music Box a versatile tool for both hobbyists and developers.
