Sound Tracker Pro is a music editor developed for the ZX Spectrum platform, specifically designed to enhance the capabilities of the original Sound Tracker. The software was initially created by KSA in 1996 and later improved by Kot/NSMG, with further bug fixes and enhancements by Red Alex/CIA.

The program serves as a tool for musicians who are not concerned with the editor's complexity but are eager to create great music. It offers various improvements over its predecessors, such as a bug-free packer, which was a significant issue in the original version. This ensures that musicians can save their compositions without the risk of losing them.

Sound Tracker Pro introduces several modifications to the editor and compiler. For instance, it fixes a bug related to editing patterns of specific lengths and optimizes the cursor movement during pattern editing. Furthermore, the compiler has been rewritten to accommodate a new module format, allowing for larger module sizes and efficient data handling.

The player has also been revamped, offering faster playback and reduced size. Importantly, the sound of the compiled music now matches its playback in the editor, addressing a notable discrepancy in the old player. The software package includes various modules and a BASIC player, providing users with a comprehensive toolkit for music creation on the ZX Spectrum.
