Music Synth 48K T.E. is a 1-bit music editor designed for the ZX Spectrum 48K, developed by Shiru in 2009. It is based on the music player routine from the original Music Synth 48K by Simon Tillson, released in 1989. The program retains the sound capabilities of the original but introduces a tracker-type interface, providing a more modern approach to music editing on the platform.

The editor allows simultaneous playback of two notes and noise percussion, featuring 15 editable envelopes. These envelopes affect the volume and timbre of tone channels and the noise timbre of the percussion channel. Despite its capabilities, the player has some flaws, such as channels affecting each other and the track tempo, and the pitch of some notes being slightly off.

Music Synth 48K T.E. is not compatible with the original Music Synth 48K and does not support export or import of files in the old format. However, music created in the editor can be converted to AY files using the MSTESNAY utility. This requires an SNA file saved while the music is playing.

The first version of Music Synth 48K T.E. was released on October 10, 2009, and it includes the MSTESNAY utility as a fully functional feature. The program is categorized as system software, specifically a sound/music editor for beeper music on the ZX Spectrum 48K.
