Beep Tracker is a sound editing software developed for the ZX Spectrum 48K, designed for creating beeper music. The program utilizes a 5-channel impulse player, reminiscent of Tim Follin's style, with added sampled drums. Each channel's impulse width can be independently adjusted, affecting both volume and timbre.

The software allows users to assign each channel to different output devices, such as speakers or tape, and even supports toggling these outputs during playback. The editor uses both decimal and hexadecimal systems, with decimal fields marked with a small "10".

Users can create compositions consisting of up to 255 positions, each having a maximum length of 64 lines. The order of these positions is displayed on the screen above the pattern area, and users can switch between pattern and order views using the "o" key.

Beep Tracker supports dynamic memory allocation for tracks, which are stored in a packed format. The program also includes a "BigBeep" song as an example, and users can navigate the order using various keys, such as PageUp and PageDown.
